Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is ready for download, are you?

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is an update to Windows Vista that addresses feedback from its customers. In addition to previously released updates, SP1 contains changes focused on addressing specific reliability and performance issues, supporting new types of hardware, and adding support for several emerging standards. Windows Vista SP1 also addresses some management, deployment, and support challenges.

Windows Vista SP1 is available in all 36 Windows Vista languages via the stand-alone installer and Windows Update. For TechNet Plus and MSDN subscribers, the DVD image of Windows Vista with SP1 is available for download in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese Traditional (HK), Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional (TW), Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Dutch, and Swedish. It will be available in all 36 languages within a few weeks.

SP1 can be downloaded straight away from Windows Update and it is recommended to do it this way. Unless there is internet problem, SP1 can be downloaded directly from Microsoft website.

I want to add to this that Microsoft is even providing free online support for vista SP1 update and installation..
